Smoked New York Strip Loin Steaks

Ingredients

​

  • 2  -  12oz New York Strip Loin Steaks

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp garlic

  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tsp kosher salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • turn the strip loin steaks onto a cutting board.

  • rub in the salt and pepper on both sides of each steak

  • in the meantime add garlic & Worcestershire sauce to butter and melt slowly on stove top making sure that you do not burn butter

  • let sit for 1 hour at room temperature

  • start your smoker and set to lowest temperature (100ºF to 150ºF)

  • Smoke the strip loins for 1 hour

  • remove from smoker and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes while you crank the heat to 400ºF on your grill

  • Once your grill's temperature has reached 400º put your steaks on the grill

  • brush 1 side with garlic butter mixture

  • grill each sides for 3-4 minutes

  • after 3-4 minutes flip steaks over and brush each steak with garlic butter mixture

  • remove steaks from grill once internal temperature reaches 130ºF

  • let sit for 10 minutes to seal in the juices
