Baked Bread on the Grill
Ingredients

1 pkg ¼ ounce active dry yeast

2¼ cups of warm water (110º to 115º)

3 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp salt

2 tbsp canola oil

6¼ to 6¾ cups all purpose flour

In a small bowl, dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water and let sit for 10 minutes.

In a large bowl add the flour and the salt and mix thoroughly.

Once yeast mixture is ready add it into the flour and mix very well.

add additional flour if needed if the mixture is too liquidy.

Transfer flour/yeast mixture to a floured countertop or something of that nature.

Knead dough for app. 10 minutes until the dough is somewhat silky smooth.

Place dough in a large greased bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled (1½ hours)

Punch down dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and divide in half. Shape each halves in a loaf.

Place in 2 greased 9x5 inch loaf pans.

Cover and let rise until doubled (30 to 45 minutes)

Pre-heat your grill to 375º F

Once temperature as reached its target, place loaves over indirect heat and baked for 30 - 35 minutes or until golden brown and bread sounds hollow when tapped.

Remove loaves from pans and brush with butter to soften the crust.

Let cool on a wire rack.
