Poor Mans Filet Mignon Steaks

Ingredients

  • 2 Inside Round Roasts

  • Mechanical Tenderizer - Click here

  • 1 cup low sodium soy sauce

  • 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tbs lemon juice

  • 2 tbs Montreal Steak Spice

  • 2 tbs white wine

  • 1lbs bacon slices

  • 1 gallon Ziploc bag

  • Remove layer of fat from each roast

  • cut into 1" piece cross grain

  • In a bowl combine the Soy Sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Montreal Steak Spice and the wine together

  • Mix well

  • Add all cut steaks in a 1 gallon Ziploc bag

  • Pour marinade mixture in bag as well

  • Seal bag by removing air from it

  • Put in refrigerator for 4 hours

  • Start your grill on Smoke

  • Remove steaks from marinade and drain

  • wrap 1 bacon slice around steaks

  • smoke on grill for 20 minutes

  • remove steaks from grill and increase temperature to 425ºF

  • return steaks to grill and cook to your liking

  • Let rest for 10 minutes

  • ​

(HINT - if you want crispier bacon pre-cooking it partway prior to wrapping it around steaks)
